Nov 10, 2006 Bottle. Weak aroma of musty yeast and some dead hops. Boring. Very dark red, almost completely brown. Small head which lingers. Quite ok flavour, hops, nuts, ginger. Hops in the medium-long finish.

Nov 10, 2006 Rated feb 4, 2006, but under wrong name, moved to the correct one. [Sinebrychoff Jouluolut IVA - Can 6.0%] I like my Christmas brews to be dark and strong with lots of spices, to show that it comes only ones a year like a kick in the face.
This one is very far from it.
There’s nothing wrong with it, but there’s nothing special either.
It was dark and had some malty scent and taste, but the alcohol showed off a bit.

Creamy and long-lasting head, good fullness. Red clearly color, limpid and with medium fizz... elegant and altogether valid aspect. Lightly alcoholic scent, bitterish with notes of red fruits and burnt wood. Balanced, enough smooth but pleasant taste with rumors of malt and withered red fruits. Medium body without particular excesses but much pleasant and drinkable. Medium end, discreetly scented.

Nov 25, 2005 Bottled. Reddish brown colour, big foamy head. Metallic sweet aroma with alcoholic hints. Maltyness and hoppyness, quite a boring "xmas beer", which actually down’t give any exceitements. One-dimensional and I would almost say "typical Finnish crap" of this one...

Nov 8, 2005 Proper foam, quite dark red-brown color. Aroma is quite fresh, sweet and has a hint of alcohol - no surprises here. The flavor saves this beer. It has some lovely maltiness and is nice and mellow. Didn’t like the sharply bitter aftertaste though.

Dec 22, 2004 Coppery color, big lasting yellow head. Sweet, mildly alcoholic aroma, not too alcoholic though. Thin to medium bodied. Flavor is sweet with mild chocolate tones, ending is nicely alcoholic and little bit of dry. Slightly better than III-version, alcohol covers those traditional koff-tones.

Nice amber color and cloudy off-white head, lace. Typical sharp metallic Koff-nose. No Saazer-hops found here. Malty with attacking harsh alcohol flavor with light sugar notes. Long bitter (and harsh) aftertaste. Unbalanced.
