Aroma is quite fresh, sweet and has a hint of alcohol - no surprises here. The flavor saves this beer. It has some lovely maltiness and is nice and mellow. Didn’t like the sharply bitter aftertaste though. Dorqui (1365), Brescia, Italy

Creamy and long-lasting head, good fullness. Red clearly color, limpid and with medium fizz... elegant and altogether valid aspect. Lightly alcoholic scent, bitterish with notes of red fruits and burnt wood. Balanced, enough smooth but pleasant taste with rumors of malt and withered red fruits. Medium body without particular excesses but much pleasant and drinkable. Medium end, discreetly scented.
Thanks to mabjork for this beer. Papsoe (15180), Frederiksberg, Denmark

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 1, 2008 Draught. Dark ruby brown, lacey off-white head. Quite smooth malty nose, definite strawberry, fruitiness, mildly roasted buttery malts. Sweet malty flavor, same strawberry, slightly herbal finish. It misses the metallic tinge of the bottled version, but it’s still a bit too sweet and easy. And this much strawberry in a christmas beer is infact quite strange. bierkoning (6103), La Tropica, Netherlands
