Commercial Description:
Sinebrychoff Kaura is blond, non-filtered bottom yeast beer, made by combining two rarely used malts, barley and oat. The product has been seasoned with a hint of honey. The taste of Kaura is fresh and fruity and a little sweet, due to the addition of honey. The aftertaste is long and softly refreshing. Honey-oat beer is best when served at a temperature of 8-12 degrees. As it is non-filtered, honey-oat beer contains more Betaglucane (a soluble fibre necessary for digestion) than other beers. Kaura honey-oat beer contains over 1000 mg/l of the fibre, when the average amount in beer is 50 mg/l. Original gravity: 11 %Pl, Colour: 10,5 EBC, Bitterness: 15 EBU.

I remember this one a bit repulsive I don’t know why. maybe the oats gave a flavor I didn’t like at all. Honey tried to compensate it but no success.

Lightly hazy light yelllow beer with interesting honeyish aroma. Quite sweet and lots of honey in the flavour. Easy to drink but not watery palate. Little bit more hops would make this better. Iinteresting beer with lots of honey.

Big head, hazy orange color. Very honeyish, rubbery aroma. Almost too sweet. Easy-going, sweet flavor dominated by tons of honey.

Obvious honey notes on the nose, and also comes through strongly in the mouth. Knowing it’s barley and oat makes it easy to put the finger on that providing the more interesting maltiness, but still little more than another inoffensive pale lager.

Surprisingly quite good bier. Taste isn’t strong, aroma has some honey. An easy all-around beer.

This is surprisingly good. I’m not really a fan of flavoured beers (honey in this occasion), but this ends up on my glass every once in a while. It’s a bit like weissbier, without the horrible banana flavour.
