gsmitty80 (628), Washington DC, USA Nov 9, 2009 Nice full bodied beer, very malty but works well with lighter Asian fare. I would assume this to be a standard Asian beer imported to America. jonno (542), Brisbane, Australia Nov 9, 2009 Not a bad little beer. Quite sweet and fruity with a little hop bite. Good for the hot weather. Muggus69 (500), Sydney, Australia Nov 8, 2009 330ml bottle.
I swear I recall this beer being better (and stronger ~6.5%) but probably one of the better ’standard’ international lagers out there; clean malts, some floral hops, reasonably bitter finish. Could have a couple for sure. JanEric (167), Meppel, Netherlands Nov 1, 2009 Bottle at thais restaurant. Aroma is light,pilser-like. Tastes a bit hoppy, furthermore light and even a bit watery. Nisse666 (313), Göteborg, Sweden Oct 24, 2009 2000-05-06, much better in Thailsnd then it was here. I know the Danish importer Fratto (670), Arlington, Texas, USA Oct 22, 2009 Bottle from the World Market in the Highlands. I knew it was Asian from the get go. The name, the ornately drawn lion. Then I saw that it was from Thailand and immediately thought of Chang and how absolutely awful it is. I was pleasantly surprised, though. It’s a little sweeter than expected and almost has a hint of flavor.

Bangkok - 1 VillageBeerVin (15), Buffalo, New York, USA Oct 21, 2009 straight from the 12oz bottle from Village Beer Merchant. My beer of choice to take to the local liquor-license-free Thai restaurant, or to accompany my home-made Thai meals. Smell of grassy and skunky hops with grain. Lightly roasted grain and pilsner-type noble hop punch in the flavor that stands up to spicy food so well. Solid macro lager, especially when fresh. US macros just don’t have as much of that delicious german/czech hop flavor. FROTHINGSLOSH (1961), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 19, 2009 Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a pale yellow-golden color with a huge yellow-white head. The aroma was sour, tangy, industrial and a bit skunky. The flavor was dry and crisp with notes of cardboard and faint floral hops. The finish was short, dry and crisp. Eh.
