| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Oct 25, 2008 Singha! For all those non-Thai speakers this is pronounced ’’SING’’ not ’’SING-ha or sing-HA’’. It means ’’lion’’ in Thai. Had this multiple times per day when I lived in Thailand. For those in Thailand, this is usually the most expensive Thai beer and not much better than Chang or Leo.
Bottle. Pours a light golden with high carbonation and a small, white head that quickly dissipates. Aroma is grass, slight hops, water, corn, and sweet malt. Initial taste is sweet and watery. Aftertaste has a bit of a hop bite but turns sour, metallic. Works well with spicy food but so do a lot of Asian lagers and this one for some reasons always commands a high price- especially imported to the US. The most prominent Thai beer but not the best in my opinion. TheBeerMaster (100), Little Falls, New Jersey, USA

Nice German Noble-esque hops on the nose. Tasty Pils malt component with some definite hop presence throughout. Well done for what is technically macro brewed. It claims to be 100% malt, and I can actually believe it as there really isn’t much to suggest any adjuncts here. Very well balanced with a solid feel to it. A nice beer I’m glad I gave a chance to. jb (1056), Rochester, New York, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 20, 2008 Toffee in the nose, golden color, bit of German-style hops in palate (hallertauer/tettnanger?), also mild hoppy aroma, caramel in palate. Not bad, thanks for sharing Ron!
