This one comes off quite nicely. Nice peppery aroma followed by a good malty mouthful, crisp and refreshing, then it hits you with a dose of flavorful heat.
Lordy, all I needed was a pickled pigs knuckle. Volgon (2489), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA

Hot, thick heat flavor with a good taste. Not for everyone. KAggie97 (2459), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA

On the advice of Dasilky, I tried this beer, finding it to be a pleasant surprise, especially when one considers the difficulty of melding beer with pepper heat. Pours an average yellow with a nose of subtle yet assertive pepper and jalapeno. Flavor is slightly hot pepper with a stinging hot sauce finish. Average mouthfeel but the pepper is the highlight anyway so let’s not dwell on small details. Muy kinda delicioso; one of the only well-made and tasty pepper beers I’ve had. I’d drink more of this. THe beer is yellow, the head is white. The chile flavors are there and theres a nice chile burn...the base beer seems fairly decent but a little on the thin side. I like the heat here too...but for some reason, the musty/dusty/mildewy presence is distracting me...not sure where that’s coming from. good heat though. I like heat. "spicy for the sake of being spicy" anything.
But this one had a nice body and full ale flavor to support the challenge of the chile. I could easily see myself drinking this on an overly hot day. Not for the timid.

Looks like a normal yellow beer until you put it under your nose. Then there is no question this is a pepper beer. Mouthfeel is actually quite decent, however and pepper is what this tastes like. You are not even sure it is beer. Remarkable for its type, however, and while it is a bit of a novelty, it is actually decent to drink. jazz88 (2237), San Francisco, California, USA

Golden yellow. Massive chile aroma and flavor. Not even a hint that beer might be in this liquid. Overwhelming chile flavor actually made my mouth feel hot. An interesting concept beer.
