DarkElf (2650), La Jolla, California, USA Aug 25, 2005 (Draft: Six Rivers Brewery in McKinleyville, CA) This is a pretty generic, light bodied wheat beer in the American style, neither offensive nor something to rave about. Standard wheat flavor is accompanied by a moderate citrus flavor and gentle bitterness. Hardly any aroma to this beer though, even with this tall, narrow glass. Pale straw color, slightly cloudy in appearance, with a small, rapidly diminishing white head that leaves just a few spots of lace on the glass. So, nothing special here, but very drinkable, and certainly a decent beer for a style that tends to yield plenty of disappointing brews. motelpogo (4111), Plzen, Czech Republic Sep 6, 2004 on tap at six rivers. nice brewpub in the middle of nowhere but the beers were a bit of a disappointment. this was very thin, typical poor us wheat, just a bit of breakfast cereal in lemonade duff (5405), Sydney, Australia, Surrey, England Jun 2, 2004 Tap@Six rivers. In all honesty, not much better than the Loaders Light. Pretty lemony and light, some hop aromatics, have yet to find a truely great American wheat. jazz88 (2205), San Francisco, California, USA Oct 31, 2002 Tap @ brewpub. Golden color with little head. Good body but these American wheats are just boring. argo0 (6176), Washington DC, USA Feb 11, 2002 Tasting Notes from Fall 2000: Simple beer, not sweet. OK but not great
