Poured a deep brown color with some dark red highlights around the edges and a thin beige head that faded to a ring. Aroma of coffee grounds, expresso, some dark chocolate, and roasted malts. Smooth, somewhat thing entry with some dark chocolate leads into a nice roasted coffee flavor with some expresso and a touch of vanilla bean. Finishes moderately sweet with some coffee undertones. Low carbonation, smooth but a bit thin on the palate. Overall, a nice surprise. Crosling (1854), Loveland, Colorado, USA

Very nice aroma, which gives hints of espresso beans, cream, dark roast and dark chocolate. Flavor is boldly dominated by coffee and espresso and it’s suave and fairly complex, with a nice base of malt. Nice finish and overall, quite tasty. beerinmarch (2781), Alabama, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 21, 2008 On tap at Green Dragon--Poured a deep black-brown body with lots of coffee aromatics. Perhaps the most coffee flavored brew I have ever experienced. Bitter in the finish and pretty sharply carbonated. Some chocolate in the finish, too. Not bad, but a bit of a gut bomb.
