Sampled at the second annual Bistro’s West Coast Barrel Aged Beer Fest: Pours a barely transparent dark mahogany with a thin ring of light tan head. Dry earthy oaky bourbon in the nose with some sweet dark caramel and milk chocolate complexity. Starts rich and malty sweet with a good dark chocolate and bourbon complexity toward a smooth bittersweet finish. Nicely-balanced and drinkable.
