12oz Bottle pours out a nice black with a little red topped with a tan head. A very nice aroma of double black coffee and some sweetness. Tast of the chocolate and coffee. A nice roast malt tast aswell. A very good brew.

Dark - opaque black color with a thin tan head. Aroma is toasty, chocolate, coffee, slightly lactic/milky. Flavor is rich roasted grains and lots of chocolate. Well balanced - no lactic flavors, not sweet, not astringent or bitter. Very solid porter

Bottle. Pours hazy blackish brown with a tan head. Medium body and carbonation. Soft chocolate and coffee nose. The taste is just messed up. Not sure if infection is at work, or if this is just poorly constructed. Burnt finish.

12-oz. Thanks, BitBucket! Black. Thin tan rim. Big wet cigarette ash nose. Creamy, oily body. Ashy, slightly smoky mid-palate. Mild ashy finish. Not unlike drinking blackened canola oil out of a dirty ashtray.

From a 12-oz. bottle purchased at John’s Marketplace in Portland, Oregon--Poured a mahogany-brown body with a soft, rocky grayish head. Nose of sweet yeast and malts. Nice hopped and chocolate complexity. Creamy mouth feel indicative of British yeast. A little chocolate and nuttiness made this pair excellent with dark chocolate. Yum!
