Bottled. A pitch black beer with a red-brown shine under a brown head. The aroma has notes of roated malt, soy sauce, and some chocolate. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt and chocolate, leading to a dry roasted finish. Nice.

Bottle 35,5 cl. Pours a dark brown with an orange hue and a small, rough beige head. Hard roasted malts in the nose with a whiff of vanilla. Medium body, a little low in carbonation, hard roasted malts and perhaps a whiff of coffee. Dry, malt bitter finish with a whiff of ashes. 100709

12 fl oz bottle. Pours dark brown with a small orange glare with a small white head. Aroma is roasted caramelish and light breadish. Flavour has the same in a smooth dry mix. Light liqourice like touch. Roasted malty to breadish lingering finish. Nice one, not a traditional porter as such.

Tasting Notes from Fall 2000: Some toastiness, and decent bitterness up front, though it’s at the aftertaste when the bitterness takes over.

Tap@Six Rivers. Once again with all their beers, fairly light for style. Toffee and burnt toast, short finish, but easy to drink.
