A superb porter with just enough coffee and chocolate overtones to satisfy. Creamy texture. Well-balanced. Minimal "vinegar" aftertaste.

Draft in Eureka, CA which makes this local and very fresh. A very dark red that looks almost black Nice color with a good tan head. and sticky lacing. Looked good in the glass. Nose of roasted malts with chocolate and coffee aromas. Smooth and creamy mouthfeel Flavor is dominated by the chocolate but is is very tasty and easy to drink. These is a light bitter finish.

Bottled. A pitch black beer with a red-brown shine under a brown head. The aroma has notes of roated malt, soy sauce, and some chocolate. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt and chocolate, leading to a dry roasted finish. Nice.
