Sixpoint 8 Days O’ Wheat

Growler from the Tribeca Whole Foods, cloudy golden and then the hops attack which was faded to a light wheat . Malt and fruit are hinted but in the end this proved a weak wheat.

growler fill up from Bowery Whole Foods. Cloudy amber. Sweet and citrusy arouma. Some buscuit and grass. The hops obviously take over this brew. Not a bad thing, its actually balanced quite well, but more than you’d expect from a wheat beer.

Thanks JoeMcphee for this lovely growler. Muddy, cloudy appearance. Thin white head. Honey wheat, caramel aroma. Smooth rich texture. Flavour like honey on toast. I like that a lot but maybe bot so much in a beer. Nice but nothing to write home about.

Sampled this briefly at Ginger Man in NYC. My buddy, Pwn3d, ordered this sucker and insisted that I try it. Pours a beautifully hazy body with small white head. The aroma is strangely enough very close in resemblance to Old Spice... other than that, the aroma boasts a wonderfully complex voyage of wheat and hop. The flavor is not bitter at all like the aroma suggests. There are strong notes of citrus, wheat, and lemon. Great wheat beer.

Draft at Gingermans NYC. Wheaty aroma mixed with some interesting musky aromatics which I could only describe closest to Old Spice deodorant. Murky looking orange body. Taste was deeply wheat, some funk, clove, and citrus. One of the finer wheat ales out there IMO.

Draft. Pours unclear golden orange with an off white head. Wheaty aroma with some citric hints. The flavor has some lemony citrus up front, wheat, and some light grainy notes in the finish. Decent.

On draft at SD. Pours a murky caramelwith a creamy beige head. Aroma of light tangy citrus, grains and bitter hops. Taste of mellow tangy citrus, bitter hops and a touch of grain.
