A copper brown ale with a thin off white head. In aroma, maple caramel with nutty butterscotch notes. In mouth, a nice peaty malt with some nice nutty notes, sustained smoked malts, a bit light but quite nice. Cask at Syracuse Real Ale Festival, Oct. 25 2009.

Cask special for Syracuse Real Ale Fest. A dark brown, with good peat, no head. Above average mouthfeel. A mild but still significant peat, a good scotch style and a good cask.My favourite of the fest, and greatly drinkable.
