Sixpoint Apollo Wheat

Growler. Pours a cloudy orange with a thick faomy white head. Aroma of spices (clove), wheat, light fruits, citrusy hops. Flavor of lots of orange peel, light spices, some breadiness in the finish. Light and refreshing. Good beer!

(Draught) Pours a hazy golden orange body with a small off-white head. Aroma of wheat, orange, light tangerine, and herbs. Flavor of mild citric hops, wheat, and light florals/herbs.

Crisp clean and tanned. Small to no head but some clings to the steep sides of a pointed pilsner. What I like most is that this beer is not lylting or lyrical or feminine its rich strong and has bite. Mild hopping malt and wheat are all present in this big wheat fit of the gods.

Pours a somewhat hazy (but not cloudy) gold into the glass with a white head. Aroma is toasted cereal. The taste of this wheat has much more hop characteristic than I am used to in any wheat, but it is really enjoyable. A really great beer.

Growler filled at Big Z Beverage. This is probably the cloudiest beer I have ever had. Pours a densely clouded dull amber with a moderate white head that lasted through about three-quarters of the glass. There’s not much going on in the aroma department. There is some very light wheat detected and that’s about it. The flavor is wheat with a little bit of a hops bitterness at the finish. The aftertaste reminds me very much of a Triscuit.
