PilsnerPeter (1469), Flushing, New York, USA Jul 14, 2008 Tap at Barcade: Hazy, deep orange pour with a creamy off-white head. Earthy hop aroma. Some citrus qualities come through along with caramel and a biscuit character. Slightly fizzy feel. Flavor is a twiggy/earthy hop character along with candied citrus fruits. Has a biscuity back and a long earthy/spicy hoppy finish. A satisfying and earthy Pale Ale.
Maverick34 (480), New York, USA Oct 4, 2008 Draft. An ale with lots of hops and such going on. Drinkable I guess. Nothing else to say. nhorween (528), New York, New York, USA Oct 3, 2008 Growler from Bowery WFM. Slighty hazy, ruddy orange color with a white head. Grassy and citrus-y hops, zesty spiciness, clean and slightly nutty malt character. Balanced and a little bready flavor, clean and crisp. Medium bodied with a short and smooth bitter finish. A little watery up front. Nothing remarkable, but balanced and quaffable. LilBeerDoctor (623), East Setauket, New York, USA Sep 29, 2008 Growler. Pours a clear deep orange with a very small white ring of head. Aroma of citrus, piney, and grassy hops with a wheaty malt backbone. Flavor is quite hoppy with a nice balance of citrusy, grassy hops with wheat and caramel malt. Some light fruity notes in the finish. A very tasty beer that is practically an IPA. fredandboboflo (614), East Setauket, New York, USA Sep 29, 2008 Fresh 10 oz. "growler." Aroma of toasted malt, grapefruity hops. Flavor more and more sweet and tangy grapefruit. Nice, malty body. Great stuff. durhambeer (525), Durham, USA Sep 12, 2008 Tap at Pacific Standard in Brooklyn. Medium amber pour. Light citrus, some maltiness. Pretty balanced, but didn’t seem well crafted. Not super hoppy. Not bad; average. An unassuming beer.
