The aroma is citrus, hoppy, sweet hard candy, very nice. The taste is slightly watery, but makes up for it with a malty caramel mouthfeel, followed by a massaging of hops to bring the taste to life. This is very drinkable, but overall not much going on in terms of complexity but that is what is meant of this style IMO.

Pours an amber with a quickly dissappating head. Ther nose has fruit and malts. There is a sweet mildness to this beer and then a bittering flavor, too much so for me, especially in the finish. I did enjoy the upfront melding of softer flavors and it was fine. beastiefan2k (1605), Lawrence (formely NYC), Kansas, USA

A glowing orange color, translucent but cannot see through the beer. Actually, one of the most beautiful shades of orange colored beer I have ever seen. A creamy aroma with sweetness, slight fruitiness, and a hop presence but not overpowering. Tastes like an IPA/cream ale to me with just a bit of bitterness at the end. Medium-light body. apoptosis (1316), Long Island, New York, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 21, 2006 The first time I had this beer, I wasn’t impressed, but they must have changed the recipe somewhat and the end product was much more to my liking. I’m basing this rating on the draught I had on New Year’s Eve. The oranginess was incredible, and it was very refreshing. Hopped and very clean. Sweet, yet a nice, dry finish. The only thing is...I wouldn’t call it a Belgian Ale at all now. It seemed to be less spicy and much more fruity. Yeasty? Yes, yeasty. Decent. Ernest (4515), Boulder, Colorado, USA

Body is dark yellow.
Aroma is moderately malty (toasted grain), moderately yeasty (cobwebs), with notes of banana and clove.
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter.
Light to medium body, watery texture, soft carbonation.
Typical American rendition of a Belgian - lots of banana/clove in the nose, on the sweet side. Slightly off aftertaste and rather light/watery. Lubiere (4552), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

Stale. Rather bland malt with strong cardboard and light coriander notes. Blaaahhh! On tap at Blue Tusk, Summer 2005. beervana (781), Libertyville, Illinois, USA

A Belgium-style blond ale having a hazy golden yellow hue. Soft carbonation. Small white diminishing head with good lacing. Intoxicating hops, sweet malt, citrus, and fruity aromas. Medium bodied that starts with a very fresh light sweet malt flavor with nice fruitiness and finishes with light hop bitterness. Well balanced. An enjoyable excellent beer. ukoolaid (572), Amherst, Massachusetts, USA
