Commercial Description:
This Brown Ale has a touch of nuttiness provided by our good friends Mr. and Mrs. Victory and Munich Malt. The addition of Northern Brewer, Cascade, and Willamette hops smooth this beer out to create an incredibly drinkable Brown Ale.

Whoa, the aroma is smack-you-in-the-face bad. lol. like a sewer hole in NYC where the steam rises up and you try to stay away from it cause you’re afraid you’ll smell all day if you walk over top of it... that kind of bad. The appearance is thin and watery with some light brown/amber colors. The flavors arent too bad though. Some maple syrup and nutty flavors, along with some toffee and chocolate undertones. Lots of carmel, decent malts. Mouthfeel isn’t bad but it’s way overcarbonated and thin.

WTF is with the aroma on this. It smells like I took Rover for a walk to do his business and I bent over to smell the results. Worst aroma ever! A reddish brown appearance with a light head. The flavor contains some caramel and a hint of dark chocolate. Watery thin palate. Despite the cool gangster graffiti looking label, this beer is worthless.

Nice chestnut body and fizzy tan head, but the aroma promises more than is delivered in the taste. Chocolate, sweet malt, smoked almonds... but a fairly bland flavor of dull malts, light brown sugar, and a faint nutty bitterness in the finish.

Nut Brown? You’re nuts! Poured ok, looked like any other brown ale. A slight skunk in the nose, and a tangy flavor. No complexity and no nuts.

Barrel Draught from the jug at the GABF, Colorado Convention Center 01/10/2005 Mid brown amber coloured and slightly rich on the palate with a fruit aroma. Some dryness in a nutty flavoured finish.

Pours a reddish brown. Caramel malt aromas with a hint of nut. Flavor is bittersweet chocolate with some smokey nut aftertaste.

Got this one bottled in Belvidere, Illinois. Clear, dark brown pour, slightly bubbly with an average white head. Chocolate and coffee with notes of orange and spice, not sure where the nuts were but it lacked a lot of complexity. Not bad.

Oh my. Like the woman in the old commercial asking ’where is the beef" I kept asking ’where are the nuts". This beer is devoid of any nutty flavor, or any distinct flavor in particular. Very thin and watery, no aromas and all in all very disappointing.
