Pours a coffee/cola from the bottle with almost no head or lacing. Aroma is so slight you almost missed it. With a body like this, you should pay Charles Atlas for some advice on lifting. There isn’t any flavor. I sound too much like Simon, but there’s nothing good to pass on about this one. steve23mj (273), Essexville, Michigan, USA

Thin body and mild caramel flavor. Finishes without much excitement. thegreenrooster (1841), St.louis, Missouri, USA

Aroma is of dark malts and i get some hops in there. Flavor is more on the malty side with a touch of nuts. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 11, 2005 Very dark ruby body that approaches a brown color. The thin head is slightly yellowish in color. The aroma is peanuts with some light toast and a little bit of caramel. The taste is light with some old toffee and a little bit of old coffee. Seems somehow stale, but not like cardboard oxidation. Needs a little more malt to make this interesting. hopdog (5606), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA

Poured a deep and cloudy brown color with a small sized off white head. Aromas of nuts and toasted malts. Tastes of burnt nuts, toasted and lightly roasted malts, and a hint of caramel. Overall very nutty. Thinner body. DarkElf (2681), La Jolla, California, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 29, 2005 (12 oz bottle: Obtained in trade with whaleman, thanks David!) This flavorful brown ale is nutty, sweet and mildly roasty, but there is an obvious yeastiness permeating the flavor, putting a slight damper on the finish of this beer. The nose is sweet and very nutty. Medium bodied, slick and smooth on the palate. Medium-dark brown in color, but fairly clear. The light tan head settles to a ring. Didn’t care for it too much at first, but this really grew on me as I kept taking sips while listening to Twisted Christmas Tunes. Firemoose15 (541), Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, USA

Aroma was very metallic, like a tap that hasn’t been cleaned. Pour was nice dark brown off white head. Flavor was much better. A lot of malt, slightly sweet and nutty. Palate was ok, a little thick. Overall very drinkable just not a superior. Lumpy (1802), Carrollton, Texas, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 4, 2005 Bottle. Dark brown body with a thin dense head. Aroma-well, it smells like a nutty brown ale. Go figure. Tastes fairly rich for a brown ale. Notes of nuts, very light smoke, medium sweetness. Rather thick syrupy palate.
