Commercial Description:
This Brown Ale has a touch of nuttiness provided by our good friends Mr. and Mrs. Victory and Munich Malt. The addition of Northern Brewer, Cascade, and Willamette hops smooth this beer out to create an incredibly drinkable Brown Ale.

Bottle. Dark brown body with a thin dense head. Aroma-well, it smells like a nutty brown ale. Go figure. Tastes fairly rich for a brown ale. Notes of nuts, very light smoke, medium sweetness. Rather thick syrupy palate.

12 oz bottle: Darkening, red-brown with a wispy gray and tan film…rich and darkly charred toast aroma, mostly unpleasant. Body is pretty decent, but the flavours where along the same lines as the aroma: burnt hops and blackened caramel with hints of toasted grain and brown sugar. On the below average end of the brown ales that I have sampled.

Clear, brown body, thin brown head. Odd aroma of oily nuts, lightly sweet brown sugar, toasted grains and (unidentifiable by me) off aromas. Very light hop character, but hints of pine and earthy perfume. The body is rounded, but ultimately a little thin. Sweet and malty, with a toasted grain and lightly roasted character. The sweetness is counterbalanced by a hefty dose of slick, oily malt, combined with the relatively light hop bitterness at finish. An average brown ale that is easily passed over.

(Bottle, courtesy of Kevin) Pours a medium brown body with a off-white head. Sweet malty aroma with some caramel and nuts. Flavor of malt and caramel. A bit thin with a somewhat bitter finish.

Creative busy packaging but a really lame beer. The color is definately correct for a "nut" brown ale, there was little to no head, impressivley low carbonation, but a rancid roasted malt flavor leaving little to the imagination and the palate to appreciate.

Sharp grassy aroma. Amber/brown with a thin white head. Light sweet cereal malts in the fore followed by an odd and out of place spiciness in the finish. It’s different I guess.

purple tinted brown pour with a thin light tan head. sweet peanut nose. taste is watery, very chalky mouthfeel. has graveyard dead quality like it is flat. some light nut flavor and sweetness, but nothing worth cracking nother bottle open to get at.

Pours a weak, cola-brown with a slight but creamy tan head that fades fast. Burnt & nutty aroma with a splash of lemon. I swear I taste Poblano peppers. Otherwise, all I can pick out is unsweetened iced tea and cereal malts. A weak effort all-around. Would probably be just fine washin’ down some chili, but it doesn’t really stand on it’s own.
