Commercial Description:
This Brown Ale has a touch of nuttiness provided by our good friends Mr. and Mrs. Victory and Munich Malt. The addition of Northern Brewer, Cascade, and Willamette hops smooth this beer out to create an incredibly drinkable Brown Ale.

A beutiful pour. Dark brown with a thick tan head and some nice lacing. Aroma is rich with malt, chocolate, hops and nuts. Flavor isn’t as deep as the aroma. There are hints of chocolate and coffee. Nothing nutty whatsoever, though. A very drinkable brown ale.

Dark brown color, thick white brown head. Light aroma, nothing special. The beer is very drinkable, but the body is a little watery. Semi-sweet and just a little nutty. I got it in a sampler 12-pack. I think it is below average for a brown.

Pours a transparent dark copper mahogany with a thin ring of spotty-lacing light tan head. Doughy sweet dark caramel nose has a touch of hazelnuts. Body starts semi-sweet and toasty nutty with a hint of light tartness and finishes watery with a hint of toasty grain. Body is a little dissappointing given the aroma, but still a pretty drinkable brown ale.

Had this beer on 3/24/2004. Aroma is a mild caramel malt scent. Color is a nice amber with good carbonation and a nice head. Taste roasted and clean. Starting with a light / medium body, it goes down with a crisp clean feel. Finish comes on with a light roasted malt flavor that has the slightest hint of sweetness to it and is backed by a very genteel bitterness. Overall this is not a beer I would seek out, but it does not seem as bad as the first time that I tried it. It does seem to fit as a mild or light English style Brown Ale.

Malty and nutty aroma. Pours cloudy brown. Nutty malty flavor with a solid hop presence. I get hints of coffee in the finish too.

12 oz, bottled 5th week of May. Beautiful deep mahogany, with ruby highlights. Medium-sized, creamy head that lasts. Spicy, earthy molasses, cocoa, and toasted nut aroma. Flavor is incredibly balanced, and fairly complex for a brown. Mostly dry toasted nut; some cocoa; slight coffee; sourish, earthy and metallic molasses; delicately bitter herbs on the finish. Medium-bodied, creamy smooth, slightly watery and refreshing palate. Excellent brown ale that could be a great session beer.

It is brown. Smells a like caramel. No nut flavor or smell to be seen. Way too much carbonation. This beer foams like crazy in your mouth and interferes with any tasting much.
