Commercial Description:
This Brown Ale has a touch of nuttiness provided by our good friends Mr. and Mrs. Victory and Munich Malt. The addition of Northern Brewer, Cascade, and Willamette hops smooth this beer out to create an incredibly drinkable Brown Ale.

[Tap - J-Bar Aspen Colordao] Had this great brew at the J-Bar. It was awesome. Thick deep rich brown color. Loved the aroma and the flavor was also very good. Deep rich malt flavor and a hint of spices thiswas a great beer for the night. Good Brew by SKA.

Bottle... NTB Ernesto Festo ’06... Clear, deep copper ale with a small, creamy, off-white head. Chocolatey, malty nose and flavor with hints of diacetyl. The aroma is a touch floral as well. Medium-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and modest carbonation. Sweet, chocolatey finish.

I was swigging this one directly from the bottle while on vacation. It had a some slightly brwon ale characteristics with a maltier than average aspect. A little roast was thrown in also. You could easily drink a lot of this one.

Murky brown with a tan head and big, spotty lacing. Nutty and slightly bitter with some roast. Flavors are much the same as the nose, but more bitter. Cloying finish with a heavy mouthfeel.

Draught at Tyler’s in Durham, NC. Ruddy brown color with thin tan head that laced the glass. Malty brown sugar aroma with a touch of sprucy hops. Dry and earthy with subdued chocolate flavor and a mild roasty finish.

Poured dark brown with a little lacing. Aroma was malty towards bread. Initial flavor was acidic with a stale coffee finish.

Pours dark coffe brown with shallow creamy froth. Smells of fresh dark malted coffee. Medium nectar weight with ample residual effers. Flavors of leather are forward with coffee, coaco, charcoal, with a slight nuttiness. Dry with a nice mellow bitterness on the finish. Well ballanced.

Very disappointing. I’ve sampled a few good things from SKA but this was awful. Foul aroma of gutters after a rain with a taste to match. Just a bad beer.
