| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 1, 2008 Bomber. Pours a slightly hazing dark amber with minimal head. Nose is sweet malt and mild pine. Taste is overly sweet caramel malt, juicyfruit gum and just a touch of resin in the finish. The malt overpowers the hops in this one. Medium mouth feel. Not that good – tastes more like a barley wine. KimJohansen (7205), Copenhagen V, Denmark

Bottle [Sk8viking great American blind tasting] Average fin bubbled off-white head that mostly lasted. Good display of lacework. Light cloudy copper color with particles in flow. Aroma of grapefruit, pine, citrus, apricot, peach and toffee. Over the palate came smooth hoppy and fruit feel. Quite nice and tasty chewy hoppy beer. Medium bodied with an average carbonation and dry texture. Moderated sweet and bitter flavor. Lingering dry hoppy finish. 7 / 3 / 8 / 4 / 16 = 3.8

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 10, 2008 Pours a brownish amber color with very little frothy head. The aroma is a very sweet malt fruitiness with some raisin plum notes and a moderate alcohol presence. Flavor starts very sweet and fruity like the aroma with some hop spiciness that builds during the finish. The alcohol hits during the tail end and lingers for a little while. Medium body and a bit syrupy. Not bad but definitely not a go-to imperial IPA. Good for the price.
