Actually a little watery, with light citrus accents, some chewy caramel. Not much going on. craftbeerdesign (759), Alpharetta, Georgia, USA

Medium body, soft palate and decent finish. A good, yet average IIPA. Ibrew2or3 (2766), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 3, 2008 Courtesy of CigarCityBrew. Pours crystal clear copper with tan head. The aroma is a bit of pine hops and malts to go along with cherry and dark fruity notes that I’m just able to identify before I must pull my nose away due to the aversion reflex caused by a snoot full of alcohol heat. The taste is mostly sweetness moving into cherry and sweet strawberry dark fruitiness. To midway and the finish sweet sticky malts surface along with a moderate level of pine hop – like flavor. It gets mildly medicinal for a moment or two before the sweet dark fruity esters take it to the finish. A bit warming too. Comes up way short on hops for the label stated style, IIPA, that I’m used to. I’ve had a couple dozen barleywines hoppier than this. 17thfloor (1498), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | May 31, 2008 Pours a clear glowing red with a tint of brown and a small off-white froth. Horrible aroma of soy sauce and vegetables, some cotten candy and fridge. Yucky malts, subdued bitter pine hops and cotten candy flavor. Medium/full body with decent smooth mellow carbonation, slightly sticky. A mess but not terrible. hopscotch (5507), Vero Beach, Florida, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | May 25, 2008 Bottle... MBSBF’08 ... Slightly hazed amber ale with orange highlights and a small, white, big bubbled head. The fruity aroma provides notes of tropical fruit, toffee and lactic acid. Phenolic as well. Medium to full-bodied with a milky mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Leans on the sweet side of balance... lots of toffee. Finishes sweet with additional gobs of toffee. Very one -maybe two- dimensional. Beershine (2749), Traipsing Around, Cambodia
