May 11, 2008 Bottle, pours a clear amber. Aroma is citrus grapefruit. Flavor is hoppy with a dry finish. Mainly citrus flavor with a big hop punch. This is nice.

May 10, 2008 22 oz. bottle from GABF Kegmaster David, via Dean at SDBrewCo. Pours deep ruddy amber with a small white head that leaves a bit of lace. Fruity malts, earthy, soft hops with citrus sherbet and a bit of pine dust. Malty and fruity, still dusty with caramel, piney hops, florals and a little spice in the finish. Medium to full body, tingly carbonation.

May 9, 2008 2008-05-08. Orange copper body with a good sized creamy off-white head, and nice lace. Pleasant sweet orange citrus hops in the aroma, light resiny alcohol. (7+) Flavour starts with orange hops, light astringent orange peel, wave of mild alcohol distracts and mutes the forerunners, but they return and slowly grow stronger, light lingering hops in the finish. Smooth average plus palate. Pleasant, full flavoured without being rip your face off bitter. Restrained, and rather pleasant. I seem to be on the high end of the scale on this one, guess I was just in the mood for it. Bottle shared by Jon Walker

May 6, 2008 Bottle with wax. Pours hazy amber with an off white head, diminishes to thin film. Aroma of citrus hops, grapefruit and some sweet malt. Taste is more citrus hops, oranges, nice bitterness rounded out with some decent sweetness. Finishes with bitterness and some orange peel. Not great, but ok, probably wouldn’t buy again.

May 4, 2008 Courtesy hopscotch. Pours a lightly hazy orange, with a small off white head. Smells of some orange citrus, with a small amount of hops, some grapefruit, and some traces of malt. The flavor is pretty bitter and sharp, almost too much to the point where I was turned off a bit. Pretty big hop bitterness in the finish, with no real balancing malt character. Not a great double IPA.

Apr 12, 2008 Thanks degarth for sending me this bonus! Poured amber with a thick off white head. Aroma was bread, citrus, sugar sweet malt. Flavor was soap, wax, hop, citrus, gross. Very coating mouthfeel, no sign of the abv. Drain pour.

Apr 1, 2008 ruby red color reminicent of the wax that laces the cap and neck of the bottle. hop flavor and strong non-hop bitterness are attempting to balance themselves to varying extents.. some unprocessed alcohol type flavors, doesnt seem 10%, but doesnt seem 6% either. this has gotten much more tolerable as its gone on, but still the imperial IPAs that i love are exceedingly better, even tho i do have a good heart for ska brewing.

Apr 1, 2008 Poured amber with an off white head. Aroma of citrus and pine. Typical IIPA flavors throughout. I’m glad I didn’t drink a full pint of this last night after the other. The 10% is well hidden.
