| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 7, 2006 Bomber, looks just like the photo. Clear gold with a small yellowy head. Lightly bitter candied orange and sweet malt nose. Flavor follows, really well balanced. Like Arrogant Bastard lite or something. Very good! A few points for the bottle - Ska has some really cool labels, and the wax adds to the effect. trokini (1027), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 7, 2006 This is better than the ratings reflect. Hazy orange pour with an oily brown head. Aroma heavily hopped with a good amount of resin. I agree with AlcheistAZ that this borders on a heavily hopped barleywine with the amount of malt. Still has a nice hop bite with the resin and citrus that belongs in an IIPA. AlchemistZ (493), Richmond, Virginia, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 6, 2006 Orange in color with just some hints of brown and a nonexistent head that leaves just a ring around the edge of the glass though it laces nicely. Not as much hop as I expected in the nose for an Imperial IPA. The hop seems to be Simcoe and there is a pretty good malt foundation. This has the flavor and balance of a big or double pale ale or American barleywine but not an IPA. They should have researched this one a little more but it is a good beer. After trying it (and I always try not to read labels or research a beer too much before tyring it so I have no preconceived notions of the beer) I could not believe this is 10% ABV. The alcohol does express itself too much but maybe it will age out. I am going to hold onto my other 2 bottles for awhile. sunevdj (1787), Copenhagen OE, Denmark
