There is some decent amount of hops in there, nice floral and piney hops to boot. However, it gets overwhelmed by this cloying sweetness. Way too much added candied sugar. Also a noticeable alcohol hotness detracts.

Nose is sweet malty notes with a nice big piney and spicy hop presence. Palate is full, fluffy and a bitter finish. Middle school textbook, light workout gymbag aroma. Flavor has a splif hop and flat malt character. The feel is initially weak, quickly develops to a quick, sharp, hill country bite, and subsides with a light sour malt floral hop character. The aroma was heavy on citrus hops and unchecked alcohol. The flavor was spicy citrus and some booze towards the finish. The mouthfeel was oily and slick. Great looking beer. Big, sticky, resinous grapefruit and pine nose. Flavor is of thick and chewy caramel and hops. Grapefruit and some mandarin orange. A dash of alcohol also comes through.
