SDbruboy (1808), San Diego, California, USA May 10, 2008 22 oz. bottle from GABF Kegmaster David, via Dean at SDBrewCo. Pours deep ruddy amber with a small white head that leaves a bit of lace. Fruity malts, earthy, soft hops with citrus sherbet and a bit of pine dust. Malty and fruity, still dusty with caramel, piney hops, florals and a little spice in the finish. Medium to full body, tingly carbonation.
WeeHeavySD (1511), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA Jun 28, 2008 Bomber via bikeandbeer, this has been in my fridge chilling for at least a year. Pours orange with an off white head, muted hops nose and taste hidden alc eh after a year in fridge it makes sense that things ar muted. laguerita (42), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jun 20, 2008 gorgeous amber color with a great fruity aroma. this has some serious bitterness that compliments all the hops just great. i love it. fiulijn (5650), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Jun 14, 2008 Beautiful amber color, with a big creamy head. Sweet and fruity aroma (mango? apricot?) Then some herbal hop comes out. Good body structure, with sweet toffee flavor, and a fruity bitterness, but not extreme. Very good. Oakes (6779), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Jun 13, 2008 Slightly hazy amber, not much head. Somewhat medicinal aroma with pear and peach fruitiness. Actually a little watery, with light citrus accents, some chewy caramel. Not much going on. colemgm8 (342), Alpharetta, Georgia, USA Jun 7, 2008 sample on 6/5/08, rating from notes. great aroma and solid deep golden appearance... but becomes more average through the palate and flavor profile. Medium body, soft palate and decent finish. A good, yet average IIPA.
