Can. Pours clear tawny with an average, fizzy off-white head, somewhat lasting with good lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (cookie, toasted grain, straw, cereal, meal), average hop (grass, resin), average yeast (dough, sweat) with notes of plum and apple. Medium bodied, sticky texture, average carbonation, and a bitter finish. Average duration, light sweetness, moderate acidity and bitterness.

I picked this up at the Binny’s in Orland Park, Illinois. It poured a clear coppper body with a tall ecru head and provided loads of lacework. The aroma is strong with pine, grapefruit rind and the pulp itself, floral scents, and a touch of orange zest. From time to time, a bit of caramelly sweetness oozed through. The flavor was much the same, possessing a sturdy caramel-bread-toffee malt backbone supporting a strong dosage of hoppy flavors and bitterness. The finish was bitter and dry, reflective of this hop-head who enjoys a drink like this so much.

12 oz can from the Binnys singles rack (Orland Park, IL). Pours a light copper at the top moving down to amber at the bottom, interesting mesh, with moderate beige head that cakes, laces ok. Aromas are citrusy, grapefruit and lemon, floral bitterness, a decent caramel and pale maltiness, bread. Gumball, touch of pine, citrus is pretty good for the style. Initial is moderate bodied, amarillo hops with good citrus, grapefruit, lemon, orange melange, with gumball, zesty, caramel and pale malts with more of a pale malt feel, more subtle. Very drinkable, a moderate bitterness, but very citrusy and tasty, nothing overly bitter, good flavors stick to the palate with decent bitterness. Yum. This is pretty great in my opinion.. With a more quaffable hop profile.

Can all the way from Durango Colorado, Liqour world, COOL! Pours an orangish red copper with a decent head and a good lacing. Aroma is super grapefruit and hops. Flavor is sweet and ultra hoppy grapefruity. Very clean with a big bite and bitter dry finish. Very nice beer, thanks TikiE.

Can from West Lakview. Nice standard bronze IPA color. Nose seems like Cascades and Goldings with caramel malt. On taste, Nice and clean bitterness and a ton of hoppy notes. resiny and citrusy with some spice. Finishes dry. I’ll probably drink this one a ton. Very good.

Thanks to rustychiles for grabbing me one of these. Pours an extremely clear chestnut color with minimal white frothy head. Aroma is somewhat disappointing - very little in the way of hop or malt aroma. Seems thin based on that area alone. However, thankfully, the taste saves this beer. It has a really nice, bright, spicy hop character to it that makes it nice to drink. Not the best beer, but there are a lot of pale ales out there that are a lot worse. I’d drink this most any day.

aroma of lightly developed toffee malt and the beginnings of a nice hop prescnce. flavor is bracing pine and lightly crunch toffee. balance is excellent. body is very attractive burnt orange. palate is a bit fleeting but not completely thin. excellent session beer yet with complexities to share.

Very clear orangish amber sith a white sticky head. Aroma of light citrus and grassy hops, some caramel malt. Cake too. Flavor is kind of spicey and hoppy, with sweet caramel malt. Nice bitter flavor. Smooth mouthfeel. If it’s in a can, I’ll probably buy it. This is a nice, fresh, surprisingly solid beer.
