Aroma of hops, grapefruit, citrus, light pine and slight toasted malts. Poured orange/amber in color with a small, rocky, off-white head that lasted throughout. Slightly hazy. Slightly sparkling. Flavor is light to medium sweet and light to medium bitter. Tastes of hops, pine, grapefruit, citrus, light toasted malts, slight caramel, and some tar. Medium body. Lightly dry texture. Average carbonation. Hope, grapefruit, caramel, and slight tar finish is lightly dry. mattyv83 (1), Colorado, USA does not count | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 14, 2009 This beer should be classified as a PALE Ale. NOT an IPA! As the label reads "Euphoria Pale ale" NO where on the label does it say IPA. So as far as Pale ales go it it delicious and the simcoe hops stand out on my palate... talon1117 (632), Bellvue, Colorado, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 8, 2009 Pours dark for an IPA with a clear dark amber color and an off-white, moderate, creamy, pillowy head which settles in some time to a small rocky layer and leaves some drippy lace. Nose is nice with some toasted caramels, lightly buttery breads, some oranges and peels, faint spicy floral, and light pine. Flavor is much of the same with incredible balance; malt backbone is toasted caramel and lightly buttery sweet breads, and faint pecans. The hops are overtones but perfectly complementary with the malt backbone; oranges, lightly resinous pine, and tea leaves. Palate is medium, nearly lively, and a sticky, lightly drying feel. Finishes a bit spicy, like the description says, with the more than medium bitterness remaining for quite a while and notes of pine nuts and tea leaves. Amazingly drinkable and almost too balanced. This one was more like an APA to me, somewhere along the lines of a Dales’s but not quite as good. I didn’t even realize the whole bomber was gone. So refreshing, and this would be the perfect beer after a long day on the slopes! badlizard (2396), Berkeley, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 2, 2009 Bottle thanks to Odeed. Pretty clear golden red copper color with a fizzy white head. Aroma of caramel, grapefruit, and some red wine character. Nice soft palate, but it could be enhanced with champagne like carbonation. Tastes of caramel, citrus, and mild vanilla with a slightly hoppy finish. Decent. Aubrey (2782), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 22, 2009 Clear chestnut with an average head. Texture was soft with a fluffy carbonation; thinnish toward the finish. Tasted nuts first. Then sugary caramel. Then the grassy, piney hops followed. Pinch of medicine and vitamins. Herbal-orange bitterness. OK, but not overly exciting. beerguy101 (3972), Newark, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 20, 2009 Sampled on 02/07/2009. This IPA pours a light orange gold color from a 22oz bottle. Medium to large sized white foamy head. The aroma is floral and herbal, a touch spicy. A medium bodied IPA. The malts are caramel and sweet. The hops are floral and herbal. Nice balance. Very smooth. A touch perfumy. Good balance. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter. Thanks to Ratman for sharing this one. Ernest (4515), Boulder, Colorado, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 18, 2009 Bottle.
Head is initially small, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing.
Body is medium to dark brownish-amber.
Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), moderately hoppy (resin, grapefruit).
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately bitter.
Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.
Quite ordinary, straightforward, and simple...typical aroma and flavor profile for a hoppy American PA/IPA. Nothing really wrong with it, but not trying to stand out in any way either. markwise (1200), 15 Minutes from Kuhnhenn in, Florida, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 8, 2009 Thanks jdubfl for the share. Pours amber with nose of sweet malt, caramel, nice citrus hops, and balance. Flavor is caramel, malt, sweet floral hops, and tart citrus throughout- from start to finish. Not a bad IPA. Enjoyable.
