Thanks to rustychiles for grabbing me one of these. Pours an extremely clear chestnut color with minimal white frothy head. Aroma is somewhat disappointing - very little in the way of hop or malt aroma. Seems thin based on that area alone. However, thankfully, the taste saves this beer. It has a really nice, bright, spicy hop character to it that makes it nice to drink. Not the best beer, but there are a lot of pale ales out there that are a lot worse. I’d drink this most any day.

On tap at Ska Brewing. Poured a medium amberish color with a small sized off white head. Aromas of pine and citrus. Tastes of the same - pine and citrus with some sweet balance.

12 oz. can from Plaza Liquors - Pours a clear copper color with a one and a half finger thick off white head. Nice lacing. Aroma is floral, pine, and herbal hops. Flavor has the fore mentioned hops and lightly sweetened toasted malt. Pine hops linger in the finish. Medium body. A nice beer.

Poured an orange/copper with a white foam head. Smells of pine, grapefruits, and oranges. Taste is small amounts of citrus, followed up by a large bitter and dry kick. Not really what I was expecting, but a nice brew none the less.

I poured from the bottle a clear brassy amber brew with ample fluffy beige head, lasting about 2 minutes, with sticky white lacing. It’s very fragrant, initially smelling of piney hops, with candied sugars coming out as it warms. I sat on this for about a month and a half, which I think, settled the bitterness into a malty, sweet brew with notes of brown sugar and citrus, and mild bitterness right down the middle. My finish is medium dry, smooth. I would rate it high for "drinkability" based on adequate carbonation and a great flavor.

Can. Pours clear tawny with an average, fizzy off-white head, somewhat lasting with good lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (cookie, toasted grain, straw, cereal, meal), average hop (grass, resin), average yeast (dough, sweat) with notes of plum and apple. Medium bodied, sticky texture, average carbonation, and a bitter finish. Average duration, light sweetness, moderate acidity and bitterness.

I picked this up at the Binny’s in Orland Park, Illinois. It poured a clear coppper body with a tall ecru head and provided loads of lacework. The aroma is strong with pine, grapefruit rind and the pulp itself, floral scents, and a touch of orange zest. From time to time, a bit of caramelly sweetness oozed through. The flavor was much the same, possessing a sturdy caramel-bread-toffee malt backbone supporting a strong dosage of hoppy flavors and bitterness. The finish was bitter and dry, reflective of this hop-head who enjoys a drink like this so much.

12 oz can from the Binnys singles rack (Orland Park, IL). Pours a light copper at the top moving down to amber at the bottom, interesting mesh, with moderate beige head that cakes, laces ok. Aromas are citrusy, grapefruit and lemon, floral bitterness, a decent caramel and pale maltiness, bread. Gumball, touch of pine, citrus is pretty good for the style. Initial is moderate bodied, amarillo hops with good citrus, grapefruit, lemon, orange melange, with gumball, zesty, caramel and pale malts with more of a pale malt feel, more subtle. Very drinkable, a moderate bitterness, but very citrusy and tasty, nothing overly bitter, good flavors stick to the palate with decent bitterness. Yum. This is pretty great in my opinion.. With a more quaffable hop profile.
