Can. Pours clear tawny with an average, fizzy off-white head, somewhat lasting with good lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (cookie, toasted grain, straw, cereal, meal), average hop (grass, resin), average yeast (dough, sweat) with notes of plum and apple. Medium bodied, sticky texture, average carbonation, and a bitter finish. Average duration, light sweetness, moderate acidity and bitterness.

Sampled at Famous Liquors Holiday Tasting in Lombard, IL. Poured from the can a clear, orangy amber, with a modest, light tan foam to the head and fair lacing. The aroma was some bready malt, floral hints, and light notes of sweetness, pine, and citrus, as grapefruit and lemon. The flavor was similar, with light malt sweetness, a moderate hop bitterness, and pleasantly dry finish. A very nice Pale to go,(in cans) and worthy younger brother to Modus.

12oz can from Orland Park Binny’s single rack. Pours clear copper with large soapy off-white head. Aroma is loaded with floral hops, citrus, pine, and caramel malts. Flavor is bitter hops, grapefruit, pine, burnt caramel, pale malts, and some other citrus flavors. Finishes bitter but has nice caramel and malt profile to help balance out hops. Medium mouthfeel. Nice to have a real hoppy APA for once. No Alpha King but this pretty solid.

12 oz. can from Plaza Liquors - Pours a clear copper color with a one and a half finger thick off white head. Nice lacing. Aroma is floral, pine, and herbal hops. Flavor has the fore mentioned hops and lightly sweetened toasted malt. Pine hops linger in the finish. Medium body. A nice beer.

Poured an orange/copper with a white foam head. Smells of pine, grapefruits, and oranges. Taste is small amounts of citrus, followed up by a large bitter and dry kick. Not really what I was expecting, but a nice brew none the less.
