Poured an indigo color with a medium sized, tan head that left very sparce lacing on the glass. Aroma of dried fruits, roasted malts, light chocolate, some lactose, and vanilla beans. Taste was much of the same, with a heavily carbonated mouthfeel.

Thanks to hopdog. Pours a black with some red when held to the light. Large fluffy and bubble off white head. Aroma of light fruit, lactose, chocolate covered cherries. Flavors of cocoa, coffee and fizzy on the tongue.

Aroma is coffee, toffee, roasty malt, but there is an underlying band-aid scent that distracts
Flavor is much the same, thin body, watered down coffee, roasted malt, and a band-aid underlayer.
short dry finish.

The beer pours to a nearly transluscent black body with a red hue. It has a thin beige head that disapates quickly. The aroma is coffee, caramel, lightly roasty, something I can’t pinpoint. The flavor is a dry malt with chocolate, coffee, cola, and pistachios? The palate is moderate at best. Dry malty feel that’s medium-light bodied. I could do without this. Especially 22 whole ounces. Beers like this should be put into 12 oz bottles.

22oz. bottle, 2005 bottling. Relatively slight aroma of roasty malt, coffeeish and chocolatey along with hints of black bread, ashes and earth and some caramel far in the background. Largely opaque brown-black color with a slight, fine off-white head.Flavor is lightly roasty to start, picking up some suggestions of fruit and dark sugar, some raisin and chocolate apparent before a lightly hopped, moderately bitter and semisweet finish. Palate is on the thin side for a Baltic, seeing a bit of warmth appear late, body is medium. Definitely drinkable but very subdued overall.

22oz bottle. Served at 54.5° in my NB worthy glass. The color is nearly black with only some dark red tints at the top. Hazy mocha colored head. Lots of foam sticks to the sides of the glass. Coffee, milk chocolate , some sour notes that I enjoy in baltic porters. The initial flavor is dark, sweet malt, almost cola tasting, folllowed by an overwelhming overroasted coffee flavor and plenty of citrusy, bitter hops. Maybe a little raw, but a good effort, nevertheless. Mouthfeel is average, maybe a bit above.

A ery black body, even when held to light. The head is light tan colored with large bubbles. The aroma is roasted coffee along with some chocolate and caramel. A very rich aroma. The taste is relatively light with some coffee and dark fruit. Plums and cherries come to play in this one. There is also some nice caramel. This is a well made baltic porter, I enjoyit more than most American made ones. The mouthfeel is relatively thin with smooth carbonation.
