Black/brown pour, rather white head. Mocha, coffee some roast malt aromas. Quite a bit of mocha and coffee up front. A little thin, yet creaminess is nice, probably still medium bodied. Finish is a little coffee bitter, but not bad. Not bad, but not great. You could do worse for the price though.

This beer has a alcohol aroma with a slight hint of chocolate. The color is black with minimal head. It has a medium mouth feel with a slightly bitter finish.

Bottled. Dark color, thick off-white head. Aroma of grinded coffee, some chocolat, hint of blackcurrant. Malty taste, coffee, quite bitter, slight alcohol burn. Ok stuff.

0.65l - Dark brown liquid under thin head. No real fizz. Light nose of earthy, spicy flavors. Earthy flavors on palate, almost like Moxie with less of the sweetness. Forgettable

Bottle: Pours a deep, rich brown that is near black. Tiny thin head. Smells rich with roasty malt and light chocolate tones. Tastes roasty and sweet. Chocolate and malt with a little bitters in the trailer. A little light in the flavor intensity. Decent. Thanks to sparky27 for sending this one.

The blue wax treatment is cute, bit makes it hard to open the bottle. Nice dark pour with a minimal head and lacing. Nose is sweet malt, coffee and chocolate. Taste recapitulates the nose, and brings in alcohol. Mouthfeel is pedestrian, as is the finish, which leaves an unpleasant metallic taste.

Bottle pours a dark mahogany with a crimson hue. It’s nowhere near the viscosity of other highly rated porters. 1/4 inch eggshell head dissipates quickly but leaves lacing on the inside of the glass. Nice chocolate and roasted malt on the nose...inviting. Flavor also displays the chocolate and roasted malt, with a slightly bitter finish.
