Sugar cane, cake, and decent hops in the nose, all ends up very sweet. First hits the mouth surprisingly dry. Then melts into an enjoyable malty sweetness. The hoppy citrus follows, and contunues to compete with the dark, carmel malts the rest of the way. Decent body. The finish alternates between the hops and malts, rather than blending the two, which I found stange and somewhat interesting... rotoguru (93), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA

Mild malt and hops aroma. Flavor is not descript, muted malts and hops, but not at all offensive making it a drinkable ale, whether or not it’s a red. ratman197 (3242), Arvada, Colorado, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 7, 2006 Updated: Aug 19, 200612 oz bottle from Arctic Liquors Beer of the Month Club. This one is MUCH better than the other selection from this month. Clear Copper/Amber color. Small head, disspipates quickly leaving an average amount of lace. Mild citrus aroma with a bit of caramel malt smell. Taste is very mild, well balanced, but unexciting. Light/medium body. Aftertaste is a mild lingering hoppiness with a hint of fruit. I think this would make a great session beer as it would be easy to knock several of these back. Refreshing. At $7.99 a six pack, not a bad session beer at all (if only i didn’t have to pay $10 a 6 for shipping, this would be a staple in the fridge!)
