| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jul 18, 2006 A medium orange colored body with a light khaki colored head. The aroma had some sweet walnuts and some vanilla. There is a bit of ginger bread in here. Interesting aroma. The taste is a bit of ginger bread with some light pancakes. There is a light peanut finish. The body is thin and a it is easy drinking. A little sharp on the carbonation. DrnkMcDermott (1853), Downers Grove, Illinois, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jul 3, 2006 Loose bottle from Sam’s Wines, Downers Grove, Bottled Dec. 05. Pours a bi-i-i-t too much head into a narrow glass. Sweet malty smell underneath as it settles. Head does assume interesting patterns as I pour a little more in. Beer itself looks rather pale even as ambers go. Taste, though, comes across a bit thin and watery. Any expectation of malt I had were let down here. Something of grape or apple juice comes out, perhaps it finished a bit dry. Hop bitterness is nondescript. Sham (1846), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 26, 2006 Darker amber with a small head and stringy lace. Caramel nose with a some bitter and citrus notes. Good dose of caramel malts in the flavor with some bitter hops. Malty finish. GeneralGao (3057), Iowa City, Iowa, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 16, 2006 12 oz bottle. Clear orange color with thin white head. Not much nose other than a combination of subdued malt and sprucy hops. Aroma belies the flavor, which is a pleasantly well balanced ensemble of malty caramel and fruity, flowery hops. Pretty good. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 14, 2006 Draught at Beer on the Pier Chicago. Malt liquor aroma. Slightly hazy light amber with a a good-sized off-white head. Attractive. Doughy malt flavor that is pretty thin. Fairly non-descript beer; very average. | 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 1/5 | 1/10 | 1/5 | 17/20 | Apr 19, 2006 A tannish amber color with medium froth and ample residual effers. It’s a very tasty brew of medium nectar weight. Nothing really definable other than it’s smooth and flavorful drinkability. Crisp and refreshing. No skunkiness at all. Overall; a good everyday brew. YourDarkLord (1800), Urbana, Illinois, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Apr 10, 2006 Bring tattooed with skulls and Grim Reapers, I love the labels SKA uses. The beer inside, however, isn’t always as agreeable. This poured amber with a small white head and lots of bubbles. The aroma was somewhat sweet, fruity, mild hops. Had a nice bitterness to it but wasn’t anything special.
