| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Feb 26, 2006 Not much going on here...very little nose of any kind. Light, bland, thin flavors...some lightly roasted malt...virtually no detectable hop bitterness. This is really a pointless waste of calories for me. Love the label art, though. gws57 (1151), Saint Charles, Illinois, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 25, 2006 Found this one bottled in Belvidere, Illinois. A great amber ale, in my opinion. Deep reddish-brown clear pour with a thin white head, maltiness in the nose and balanced with some apple, pear, and hops. I thought this was the best one of the night from this brewer. | 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jan 11, 2006 Clear amber to bronze in color. Moderate dark taupe head. Decent lace. I think I have figured out that grapefruit and husky grain to not mix, smells more like corn silage. Fruity pale ale qualities in the flavor profile. Gooseberries, with mild pale malt and syrupy caramel come to mind. It’s odd that they state "not in the mood for a raspberry flavored", yet this is quite sweet with some berry qualities. thegreenrooster (1850), St.louis, Missouri, USA

Lots of malts and the hops really stand out. Flavor is slight citrus and some malts used. Overall kinda tasty and prob one of the best from this brewer. steview (902), Los Angeles, California, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Dec 13, 2005 for some reason, yeaup, it tastes like a red ale--i guess. i like this more than killians, i guess that’s for sure... but what is this? it’s caramel, and a bit nutty, with a dead hop berry burst. if this had a primarily medicinal quality, i would have mistaken this for a bad fruit beer.
