| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 14, 2009 Clear copper color with a small tan head. Little retention. Nice aroma begins with malt followed by a quick hit of rye and then pine hops. Flavor is caramel, syrupy rye, tart citrus hops. Peppery spice comes late. The malt is dominant. Since I like a maltier beer this one gets rated just a tad above average. topherh (940), Kearney, Missouri, USA

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Aug 9, 2009 12oz bottle from Lukas Liquors. Pours golden orange with white head. Thought this was an amber. Aroma is caramel malts. Flavor is caramel and sweet malt with a bit of a metallic note. Really just a malty lager. And not a good one either. This borders on pale lager area. How can they call this a red ale. This brewery does some other shitty things like put wax on average beers. Wax should be used for something big or special not blonde ales. kidmartinek (1000), austin, Texas, USA
