Aroma is a nice with a mix of caramel malts and brown sugar. Flavor is a big let down almost to the point of being nothing. Some malts do show up after the swallow but this is really thin. Your could prob shotgun this right out of the can no problem. DrnkMcDermott (1855), Downers Grove, Illinois, USA

Nice light malt beer smell that nonetheless I can easily detect when opened. Pours golden and slightly hazy. In my small tumbler it kicks up a big spongy head. Malt with some sweetness and a slightly metallic hop signature. Somehow reminds me of regular beer back when Dad drank it. Wayyy too fizzy, in fact, bubbles bring in some harsh malt liquor type flavors. And way too fizzy for any style with English beer roots. ¾ (4999), Colorado, USA

Big sticky burnt corn and rough, husky caramel malt nose. Burnt, sticky caramel malt all over this thing. Astringent, sharp, syrupy. Ehh.... Sparky27 (1608), Phoenix, Arizona, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 1, 2008 Can! Pours a medium clear amber with a 2 finger bubbly beige head that faded faster than my attention span during a Lifetime movie. Nose is caramel, toffee and light hops. Taste is sweet malt and brown sugar upfront with a mellow bitter hop finish. Light-to-medium slick mouth feel. Not bad. Not great, but serviceable. Indulgence (141), Ajo, Arizona, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Aug 9, 2008 I love ESBs, but this one kind of falls short a little. Aroma is asparin bitter hops, some barnyard and light, sweet malts. Flavor is the same but has a slight asparin bitterness at the finish. The mouthfeel is a bit watery. I like SKA stuff, and am a little let down. SuperDave70 (1157), Beautiful Sunny Mesa, Arizona, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 27, 2008 Pours a clear amber with a medium foamy head that lasts a while. Sweet malt and grain aroma and flavor. Just enough hops to make the brew crisp, but not add any noticable hoppiness to the flavor. Drinkable, but not spectacular by any means. satan165 (599), River Grove, Illinois, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 1/5 | 15/20 | Jul 18, 2008 very very thin, and far from ’special’. this is not challenging or interesting, has the odor of regular old keg beer and taste is similar as well. there are other mainstream available english style ales that are far superior. furthermore the can seems to have imparted the dreaded metallic flavor. kudos to ska for canning, i read about this months ago and finally got my hands on some, but i must say it was disappointing and barely above average experience. ucusty (1900), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA
