this is an odd stout in the sense that it has milky acidic vanilla aroma and the taste was too light

Pours a dark brownish black that shows reddish around the edges when touched with light. The head is thick, frothy, and light brown. The aroma is very grainy, shows cereal and barley, sweet, some lactose comes through, chocolate after warmth. The flavor is very roasty with a sweet smooth lactose balance, also grainy in the flavor. The palate is a bit weak, but remains smooth. Ok sweet stout.

Poured a dark brown with a thin white head. Had strong hints of lactose, simple sugars, and roasted coffee. FInsihed with a slight sugary texture.

Appearance: Pours a deep, dark brown body with some reddish-hued edges and a creamy beige head. Smell: Roasted grains and rich, sweetish chocolate, though by and large, its the roasted malts. Taste: Fairly sweet milk chocolate flavor featuring some distinct Tootsie Roll notes and just the little amount of citrusy hops. Finishes sweet but with a persistent lactic acidity that builds up in the back of the mouth (like eating too many Milk Duds in one sitting). Mouthfeel: Soft, medium-bodied beer with a mild carbonation. Drinkability: Tootsie Rolls and Milk Duds together in an easy drinking beer - what’s not appealing about that?

It smells pretty good...and I suppose it has some decent flavors in there...but "latte frothy head"?...after how many flights of stairs? Besides that...it starts pretty well with a fairly bold initial taste...but fizzles out quickly and ends rather watery and thin...especially for a "stout". Try Left Hand if you are up for a good Colorado milk stout.

Bottle. Pours dark brown with a spare fizzy off-white head, mostly diminishing, spare lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (chocolate, caramel, burnt), light hop (grass), average yeast (dough, leather) with notes of tar, smoke and cola. Medium bodied, oily texture, average carbonation and a creamy finish. Light sweetness, acidity and bitterness; heavy roasted caramel and chocolate malt flavor with notes of milk and leather.
