12oz bottles acquired in trades with cbkschubert & FlacoAlto (thanks!). I’m really into the SKA labels. This one makes me want to break out an old pair of my steel toe cherry reds or even a pair of my Ox Bloods and go stomp in some heads! Poured a dark, dark brown color with a smaller sized tan head. The aromas instantly reminded me of Almond Hersey Kisses. Other aromas of coffee, roasted & burnt malts, and some lactose. The tastes were a little softer than the aroma lead me to expect and consisted of chocolate, roast, coffee, and a touch of milkiness. Had a light sour finish. Softer and creamy body. Interesting for a sweet stout. Looks like I’m going against the norm, but I liked this one.

12 oz bottle-pours a fizzy foamy tan head and black in color. Aroma is milky, chocolate-dark malt with acidic notes. Taste follows aroma. Medium/full body. OK carbonation.

Pours a transparent deep mahogany with ruby hues and a large, frothy tan head. Aroma of sweet caramely malt with lots of milk chocolate character and a hint of light fruits. Body starts fairly full and sweet with some lactose flavor and light roasty bitterness. Finishes smooth and semi-sweet with lingering milk chocolate. A decent milk stout, but could use a richer aroma.

Pours dark brown with a thin off white head. Smells of cocoa, some dark fruit. Tastes of sweet malt, tarte, some raisins, molasses. What’s with the tartness in all their stouts and porters?
