Commercial Description:
The perfect robust porter: The sharp bitterness of the black malt sits nicely within the overall malty sweetness. Full bodied with a medium hop bitterness.

Six different malts are combined to create this complex Robust Porter. Perle and Willamette hops are added to fashion the perfect balance for which the Ten Pin is renowned.

Bottled@Monks Café, Wallingatan, Stockholm. Very deep amber colour, small brown head. Aroma is wood, toffee, coffee and some mild notes of dark dry fruits. Flavour is wood, fruits, some coffee and mild nuttyness along with a quite roasted malty back. A bit thin.

12oz bottle from Lukas Liquor. Pours dark brown with small tan head. Aroma is roasted malt, sweet vanilla, and molassas. Flavor is light roasted malt and some molassas. Really thin mouthfeel for a self described robust porter. Not to impressed.

Serving: 12 oz. bottle. Appearance: Deep brown with a creamy, light tan head. Aroma: Roasted malt, earth, and coffee. Relatively light nose. Taste: Caramel, mineral, earth, burnt malt, and a little licorice note. Palate: Medium carbonation with a medium-light mouthfeel. Medium finish. Overall: A better than average porter, but it could use a little more body.

Pours black with a tan head. Aroma of coffee and tobacco. Thin body for a porter and just a bit of bitterness up front that is herbal. Bit sweet but mostly middle of the road. Nothing special.

Pours a dark black allowing some light. Head is two fingers and tan. The aroma is sweet, papery, some old molasses. Flavor shows soy sauce, off characters, sweet, old chocolate, astringent. Slick palate.

Courtesy of keifdog. Pours brown with thin tan head. The aroma has pleasing notes of molasses, some burnt malts and then fades away with little else going on. The taste has a modest level of burnt – roastiness followed by faint molasses and more roasted flavors. It stays even into the finish while picking up a nice sense of chocolate.

Bottle courtesy of screach. Pours a dark brown to black with one finger tan head that settles quickly but laces the glass. Aroma is sweet and malty with notes of roasted coffee, caramel, ripe dark fruit, some hints of toffee and spice. Flavor is sweet and malty with notes of chocolate, roast, ripe dark fruit, hints of caramel and honey. Generally medium body with a pleasing roasted malt finish. Not bad.

Thanks kiefdog for the share. Pours dark cola brown with an off-white head. Nose is roast, coffee, earth, and some nuttiness. Flavor is same with bitter chocolate, nuts, and roast. Light to medium bodied and lingering with roast bitterness. Ok beer overall.
