| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 25, 2006 12 oz bottle. Nice black pour with a decent head. Aromas were chocolate and some coffee, but a little hard to pick up. Flavors were typical porter, but somewhat thin and faded quickly. Not bad, OK. guzzler67 (1289), Hanover, Maryland, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 5, 2006 Rich, dark brown appearance with a large, dense head and good lacing. Subdued aroma blossomed as it warmed, malty (but not sweet), earthy, with a hint of chicory. Medium bodied mouthfeel, creamy texture, modestly carbonated. Woodsy, roasted malt taste, some bitterness, with a fairly long lasting finish. pinkzambia (989), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 8, 2006 Bottle: Dark brown color with a light brown head. Bitter sweet chocolate and alchol aroma. Strange flavors for a porter -- sour, root beer barrels and day old Foldger’s coffee. It has kind of weird zing zang to it and leaves you wondering what is up. Anyway, thanks BuckeyeBoy for bringing this back from CO. BuckeyeBoy (1689), Boise, Idaho, USA

Modest fine creamy tan head. Fine sheeting lading. Aroma is dark roasted, some chocolate, vanilla, leather and pitted fruit. Flavor is mostly smokey and with a sour thin bite. Easy on the hops butr a lingering bitterness at the end. smoosh (523), New Albany, Indiana, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 28, 2006 Bottle - black as can be. Slight hints of brown around the edges. Very little head. What there is is beige. Strong malt aroma with hints of roastiness. Big aroma for a porter. Maybe a tad thin, but not near as bad as some are rating, IMHO. Rich and roasty. A combination of chocolate and coffee. I like it. Strykzone (1504), Wood River, Illinois, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Mar 24, 2006 Very dark beer with reddish colored edges this beer looks like a porter, all right. Tastes like a good one, too. Some coffee is evident as is a light taste of bread. A small zing adds some zest but this is a nice beer and not really much more than that.
