Appears a transparent gold with a small white head and scattered lacing left around the glass.
Smell is of corn husk, light corn syrup, and a touch of sweet malt with honey.
Taste is of the same aromas with nothing really jumping out.
Mouthfeel is soapy with too much corn syrup sweet junk going on.
The best part of this beer was the bottle. hopdog (5601), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA

Poured a medium and clear golden color with a small sized white head. Aromas of yeast, honey, spices, and all around fruity. Tastes were on the thin and bland side and consisted of citrus, honey, spices and fruits. With that cool label and that blond winking at me, it was a let down. egajdzis (3626), Spring Mount, Pennsylvania, USA

Aroma of spices, coriander, some vegetal, citrus fruits, yeast, light vanilla, honey, and white pepper. Taste was spicy, citrus, lemon, honey, with yeast and alcohol in the finish. Rather thin mouthfeel. GreatLibations (1444), Last Supper, Arizona, USA

Low volume residual effers, almost flat. Medium nectar. Smells of bright candied malt and hay. Flavors of candied bannana, giner, nutmeg, and biscuits. Slight medicinal. Has almost a milky texture as it warms. Alcohol is well hidden. Well ballanced. ragesaq (53), Arizona, USA

Aroma: Belgian Candy Sugar sweet with banana and belgian yeasty aroma.
Flavor profile: Super smooth golden belgian. Thick belgian yeast character with the candy sugar and banana flavors. Reminds me a lot of the Stone VE 2004 and the Pranqster but not as spiced. I like this one a lot!
Palate: Rich and wet, heavy but not syrupy, very satisfying.

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 29, 2006 Dubbels can reach 8% so why is this classified as a Belgian Strong?
Amber with a hint of haze, a white film & halo. Defined yeast presence in aroma with banana, milk, alcohol and vegetable notes. Buttery mouth with a fruity, sweet & sour flavor that had Belgian qualities but in a "cheap imitation" sort of way. Not overly impressive.
