Pretty rough getting through this one. Bitter and light. Some smoothnes but had lots of off flavors. Some sweetness balanced it out but had an odd aftertaste too.

Bottle; pours a hazy, ruddy gold with small to medium white head. Aroma was of apple, yeast, banana and flowers; something weird about it. Flavor was initially strange, but it got better after a few sips. Flavor seemed almost a knock off of the style; that being said it was not too bad. Flavor of yeast, apple and a strange taste of banana. Palate was ok.

Bottle. Pours with hardly any head. Smells like passing a sulfur plant. Taste is almost a disgusting malty mess. Enough after an ounce.

Bomber. Bright, inviting orangish yellow color with a head that lasts for most of the beer. Citrus and spicy on the nose and the flavor. Good sourness comes in after each sip and is balanced nicely with a bit of bitter hops. Not really a normal belgian flavor, nor what I’d expect out of a blonde. Unique and very enjoyable. I’d definitely get this one again.

Had this beer on 4/30/2005. Aroma is sweet and spicy, reminds me of a White. Color is a hazy gold with light carbonation and very thin head, I hope it is not too flat. Taste is, well its sweet and sour. Starting with a crisp medium body it goes down with a crisp feel and a sweetness coming on. Finish comes in with the sweetness turning to a sour taste that is backed by a spicy and citrus flavors. Wow, this is much better then I thought it would be. I think the best way to describe it would be to say it sits somewhere between a Paulaner Hefy and a Celis White.

Flavor on this is not like a dubbel, more like a blonde, just not in a real good way. Pretty untatsy.

The appearance of this beer may be it’s only strong point. Weak nose and taste with hints of floral, and fruity notes. Weak attempt at a Belgian style dubble.
