Commercial Description:
WheelSucker Wheat, a collaboratively brewed 7.2% mountainous hefeweizen from Avery and Ska.

Adam Avery and his brewers came down to Durango and brewed it up with the folks at Ska. A few weeks later Dave Thibodeau and Arlo from Ska went up to Boulder and then they all rode their bikes 426 miles from Avery to Ska, over a ridiculous number of mountain passes.

Cloudy yellow with a huge pillowy head. Nose has nice slight spiciness, banana and lemon, and the distinctive Avery yeast. Flavor doesnt really live up to the nose. Some Hefe-esque bubblegum and clove and a touch of spiciness to finish. Pretty good, very drinkable wheat.

Bottle from scrizz at his birthday get together. The Huskies are playing stanford. Other cool dudes were there including after4ever, bvc, suzygreenberg, bitbucket. Others present were seth and vanessa. There was a taco bar and a sweet ass cooler that looked like a coffee table. Sweet fruity nose some banana, light gum, wheat. Pours hazy light yellow, nice creamy fluffy white head. Soft sweet banana and bubblegum, some lemon, a dry earthy hop finish. Enjoyable stuff.

22oz bomber via Scrizz. Pours a cloudy yellow with decent white head. Nose is wheaty with some banana esters and touch of spice. Has something going on with the flavor that I can’t put my finger on. Kind of meaty is all I am coming up with. Decent stuff that leans more towards a German style hef.

Bomber from Colorado Liquor Mart. Pours hazy pale golden yellow with small white head. Aroma is yeast, banana, clove, wheat, and citrus. Flavor is clove, banana, yeast, wheat, lemon citrus, a bit of bubblegum, and some bready malt. Really tight carbonation and good mouthfeel. Pretty good for an american hefe.
