Taster – Beveridge Place Barleywine Bacchanal – Seattle, WA
Aroma: Strong super sweet malty Barleywine aroma.
Appearance: Amber in color, clear with a thin head.
Flavor: This beer hit the marks and the malts and sweetness where wonderful. A super brew.
Palate: Dry with a great finish.
Overall: This brew was the shizzle for the night and hit the tasting meter very high in our book. 2007 batch.

05 vintage on tap at BPP. Lots of brown sugar and maple and still too much alcohol bite after a couple of years. Tasty, but nothing special.

This was a big mess of a barleywine, fragrant hops, aroma is cheap perfume and warm alcohol notes. Lots of alcholic heat in the flavor, rich and brown sugary sweet, with a hint of fruity citrus rinds. Unbalanced.

Cloudy dark amber colour. Slight dark fruit amidst a rich dark malt aroma. Light perfumey hop. Soft, but kind of astringent. Some late heat. Chewy, big, yeasty and lots of citrusy hops. Not entirely focused.
