Aroma is vanilla, caramel, very faint smoke, and a nice earthiness and nutty smell to it. Taste is caramel, with a oakiness like quality which I’m guessing is coming from the orange peel, the vanilla is definantly there. It’s good stuff, but it doesn’t mesh that well together. jcwattsrugger (5525), Florida and, New Jersey, USA

Tastes just like a childhood freezer pop, which might sound bad, but actually was decent. The flavors went well with the brown ale base, althought hey claimed imperial brown, the base beer tasted to watery and mild to be imperial. The light toasty chocolate flavors mixed well creating a interesting after dinner treat ina glass. BückDich (4851), McCall, Idaho, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 11, 2007 Draft @ Strange Brewfest 07: Dark brown, light head and lacing. Nose of fruity plum, apricot, some odd misplaced dessert note like chocolate and vanilla. Citrusy and malty flavor with mandarin and grapefruit along with the dark rye and toast notes. Odd blend but unique and standoffish. Love it or hate it, I was in the former, but then again, I’m easy to please.
