| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 14, 2008 Pours dark brown with a big, foamy, well retained light brown head. Smells pretty roasty, with big doese of dark and caramel malt, light bitter dark chocolate, and subtle hops. The flavor is more on the roasty side than anything, very creamy on the palate and extremely easy drinkiing. Some hoppiness is evident in the finish, but the malt and roast dominate this brews character. Solid little porter. bhensonb (4376), Woodland, California, USA
