Bottle. Huge creamy off-white head that mostly lasted. Clear sparkling body with an amber color. Aroma was heavy hoppy with notes of floral, herbs, perfume, elderflower and citrus. Some leather like notes comes into play as well with a hint of clove, fruit and caramel. Very full bodied with an average carbonation and somewhat dry texture. Flavor was mostly dominated by the bitter notes, light sweet notes are there as well. Very bitter and dry finish. Wow that was a rater unusual IPA.

(Bottle 65) Courtesy of Degarth. Pours a clear, amber golden with a tall, dense, off-white head leaving laces. Lightly sweet caramel aroma. Medium body with sweetish caramel notes, some fruit and a rather brutal, bitter hoppy finish. Quite unrefined and unsophisticated - just not my idea of a good IPA. 160607

From a 22 oz bottle poured a hazy red with a thick tan head the left chucks of lacing. Head lasted a long time. Nose of citrus hops with mostly grapefruit aromas. Mouthfeel sweet and oily, and flavors are pine, grapefruit and floral hops. Nice long bitter finish. A good solid iPA.

Tap @ Capone’s. Almost clear, rich golden color with white head. Nice, clean, fresh, spicy nose of hops and fresh pale malt. Flavor was clean, fresh, tasty with ample hop presence, balanced with plenty of malt. Well into med bodied. Looking foreward to drinking this again.

22 oz. bottle - pours hazy and amber with sweet/fruity aromas; malt and hop flavors are pretty weak; hardly tastes like an IPA (at least the type of IPA i prefer)

The beer pours a darker copper color than many IPA’s. The aroma is pretty unique with a mixture of earthy hop tones, mild lemon hop tones, and caramel malts. Initial flavor is the citrus, which was a bit more subdued than many other IPA’s, followed by the grassy earth flavor, and finished by the sweet malt. This is an incredibly well balaned IPA,

Deep hazy amber coloured body with a thinnish off-white head that fades pretty quickly. Aroma of grassy hops, malt, metal, alcohol and citrus fruits. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong bittering flavours up front fading to a potent caramel and maltiness which lasts for quite a while. Aftertaste shows some bittering qualities that are very pleasant and finishes strongly with citrus. Overall, a decent IPA - nothing spectacular, but definitely worth trying if you can get a bottle! I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Whole Foods in Ravenna (Seattle), Washington on 11-February-2007.
